STUFFED PEPPERS

 

Ingredients:

1 large can tomato puree

1 can tomato paste

2 pounds chopped meat

2 or 3 green peppers

    cup rice

1 small onion, chopped

oregano

1 box medium shells

 

Put tomato puree and paste in large pot.  Fill up each can with water and pour into pot.  Bring to boil, reduce heat and begin to simmer.  In small frying pan, fry onion in a little bit of margarine until tender but not too brown.  Mix chopped meat, onion and rice together.  Cup tops off green pepper and clean out center of pepper.  Fill peppers with meat mixture and put into pot with sauce.  Make meatballs out of remaining meat mixture and put in pot.  Cook about an hour and a half.  Cook medium shells.  Enjoy!
