2-3 servings



2 cups elbow macaroni

2 tablespoons butter or margarine

2 tablespoons flour

2     cups milk

    teaspoon salt

1/8  teaspoon pepper

    pound velveeta cheese (can use the light variety)

    bread crumbs


Cook macaroni according to package directions.  Drain.  Place in buttered casserole dish.  Melt butter, add flour, salt and pepper and blend.  Add milk slowly until sauce thickens.  Cut cheese into cubes (this is best done before you begin!).  Add cheese to sauce.  Stir constantly until cheese melts.  Pour cheese sauce over macaroni and top with bread crumbs.  Bake in 350 degree oven for 30 minutes.


You can increase the amount of macaroni if you want.
